Autumn / Winter Collection 2022-23
Travel and eclecticism inspire the Antony Morato F/W 2022/23 collection: two themes that come natural to the cosmopolitan man, to whom the collection is dedicated. Four European capitals define the contemporary and cross-cutting style of a man who loves to compose his look by combining metropolitan suggestions, with a great attention to detail and the confidence to put together precise styles, influenced by pop culture and vintage touches.
"For Autumn/Winter, we thought of the cities that most influence western culture, places with a strong identity and yet are always open to welcoming new trends.
The Antony Morato man is a citizen of the world, with an eclectic and lively personality that expresses his desire to live: in this collection, he will find traditional elements revisited with an ultra-modern twist, all of which can always be layered and combined as they are thought to be versatile". Lello Caldarelli, CEO.
Collection inspirations
Berlin:
The severe, square architecture of the German metropolis is reflected in the gritty, clean-cut style of this collection mood. The colour chart alternates white, black, blue and petrol on contemporary garments that nod to the 1990s, as well as the motor-inspired graphics, featuring helmets, motorbikes, skulls.
Glossy black and petrol puffer jackets and rigorous coats with slim lines are worn with new cargo trousers with a slim fit and flat pockets. Overshirts in solid colours and check fabrics replace outerwear with a fluid and modern concept. Sweatshirts are revamped with knitwear-effect fabrics, combining a casual look with the comfort of knitwear, which on other garments completes the look with geometric jacquards, black and white patterns and colour blocking.
Amsterdam:
Contemporary retro elegance with vague echoes of the 1970s especially in terms of the colour chart, with street-art inspired graphics: balaclavas, stencils and urban jungle concepts. Black takes centre stage, mixed with soft, warm tones such as dark brown, camel, rust and off white.
Statement outerwear includes a straight-line duffle coat, tartan bouclé wool coats and diamond-patterned quilted bomber jackets. A total look featuring velvet and corduroy garments; straight-leg trousers, soft cardigans and double-breasted jackets are true must-haves. Overshirts in check or monochrome fabrics in black or camel alternate with shirts printed with autumn flowers.
Stockholm:
We travel further north, between ultra-modern skylines and seascapes for a contemporary and clean mood.
The colour palette is reminiscent of the sea in winter: ink blue, grey, ice and white are the key colours. Garments in cool colours with a minimalist design create lean, wearable and elegant silhouettes. As to the outerwear, it includes super-puffer or simple down jackets with unusual details and contrasts of shiny and opaque fabrics quilted with stripes or lozenges, and hybrid garments in between jackets and pullovers.
Colour block sweaters feature sidereal tones, with sweatshirts and overshirts in shades of grey and white.
London:
Street and military style are the inspiration for this dynamic and gritty sports theme: army green, black, petrol blue and optical white for versatile garments with clean, technical details. The iconic outerwear piece is a grey melange ripstop down jacket with army-inspired camouflage prints.
The A.M. monogram sports logo appears in new versions, and as always it is the protagonist of off-centre and minimalist prints, alternating with graphic elements that recall barcodes and instruction manuals.
Super shiny nylon is used for the jackets as well as to create contrast on sweatshirts and trousers.
Timeless:
Alongside the more formal monochrome suits, coats and shirts, new knitwear, essential jackets, yarn-dyed and printed shirts. A complete collection made of key garments that can be easily mix and matched with the other themes in the collection.
